Prepare Nissan MPV 7-Passenger New

Nissan moving aggressively in Indonesia. After confirming the launch Juke crossover and Infiniti in the domestic market this year, the second largest automotive manufacturers  in Japan are quietly preparing 7-passenger MPV new and will be launched in  late 2012 or early 2013.

This new product will compete with Avanza-Xenia who still dominate the national sales for 6 years since its launch in 2004. Meaning, this new Nissan will later fill in segments below the Grand Livina. "We prepare new products 7-passenger MPV and the price in the range of USD 150 million," said Takayuki Kimura, President of NMI, to Kompas.com, last week.

Launching new products is in line with the target of NMI, which is chasing sales targets through 90,000 units in 2013. As for this year, targeting sales of 60,000 units NMI and begin to raise the plant's production capacity Cikampek, West Java, from 50,000 units to 100,000 units from September 2011.

Teddy Irawan, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Director of NMI, adding, NMI difficult to pursue target 90,000 units if only relying on existing products. "There should be new products to catch up (target) 2013," he said.
